Aggregates for concrete batching plants

Ready-mix concrete composed of wood chips is an alternative to polystyrene and other aggregates. We are assisting plants in order to ensure the results desired. We are committed to providing quality products and improving our service to keep current with the changes in our environment.

Specific wood-concrete

The research and development department with partners and a testing center, has developed a formula optimized for the use of our aggregate in concrete batching plants and in concrete mixing transport truck.

Applications

  • In every room and on any support.

  • For the renovation of buildings and monuments.

  • Stocks 350Kg of CO2/m3, the screed will contain 95% of wood chips after it has dried.

  • The screed must be at least 6cm thick.

  • Smoothing and floating is possible with a mechanical trowel (helicopter)

  • Formula especially made for the use in truck mixers and screed pumps

Characteristics of the 1000Kg pumpable RMC formula

Acoustic insulation : Limits noises up to -55dB

Tensile strenght : 3 Mpa

No drill or rawlplug needed to instal screws or nails

Average volume : 1000 kg / m3

 Weight : 60 Kg/m²

Fire resistance : certified M1 "ininflammable"

Properties of our aggregate AGRESLITH-C

  • Size : 4/10 mm
  • Lenght: 20 mm
  • Dry volume: 150 kg/m3
  • Average density after delivery: 220 kg/m3
  • Thermal conductivity: 0.07 W/m.k.
  • Specific heat: 0.446 Wh/kg.K
  • Thermal diffusivity: 0.00057 m2/h

Specific indications for use

Precautions:

  • Accelerate the speed of rotation of the mixer when you arrive on site.

  • Grease the pipes with slurry (1 bag of cement for at least 20ml).

  • The pumping is done at low pressure.

  • Slowly feed the tank, ensuring that the hole that swallows the concrete sucks a little air.

  • Turn the mixing shaft in reverse direction to let more air in the tank.

  • Add a small trickle of water at the entrance of the opening of the pump to prevent the wood from binding and forming plugs.

General precautions before pouring

  • Put a polyethylene film with sufficient covering

  • Take precautions to avoid perforating the film.

  • Install control joints, expansion and contraction joints,… especially in large areas and in narrowing surfaces (doors, hallways, level differences)

  • Install level references

General precautions after pouring

  • During the hardening, do not operate on the screed

  • Protect the structure from solar radiations, airstreams and rain.

  • 24 to 48 hours after the pouring, install contraction joints if they were not installed before.
