Sustainable development

Agresta has become a reference for over 30 years in the development and the production of wood agregates. Sustainable development is part of the company's strategy since its creation in 1977.

A local and renewable raw material

The wood used in the production is collected in the surroundings of the factory and is essentially coming from forest maintenance. By transforming this wood, Agresta takes part in forest care which make sits industrial process ecological. This strategy ensures a regular supply in quantity and quality but it also helps reducing the environmental impact of transport and contributes to value local forest managers.

Traceability of the raw material certified "first transformation"

Wood chips are produced with only one specie oftree : Spruce. In order to ensure a constant quality and a perfectly controled stabilty of our products, saw mills waste are not used in order to avoid different essences of wood of varying qualities. Wood coming from recycling is also innapropriate:

• No treacability

• Ignorance of eventual polluting treatment

Valorize an ecological process

Beyond the systematic research of an ecological quality of the raw materials and the transformation, AGRESTA finds its economic growth in an ecologicaly scientific strategy, especially in the development of products protecting the environment. AGRESTA and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency partenered in order to define the carbon footprit and the company’s impact on the environment. AGRESTA is also certified PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) since 2010.
